"The Dancing Devils of Corpus Christie" is a Venezuelan traditional festivity celebrates at Corpus Christi day in the small town of San Francisco de Yare. Its origins are traced back to the 18th century, being the oldest brotherhood of the American continent. This celebration is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Men from the Societies of the Holiest, dress up in red costumes, masks, amulets and crosses. They perform a dance, to local drum beats, in the streets of the town. The ritual dance symbolizes the victory of Good over Evil. Where The Sun Rise is a self-published fanzine of Mirna Chacin. It is based in the so-called photo series about her process to overcome migrant grief and build a sense of belonging to her new home by the Lakeshore Ontario in Toronto, Canada. The fanzine was launched during her artist´s talk around the ongoing public exhibition about the series on September, 28 of 2019. Limited edition of 100 copies.
